Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback on this project

We received a total of 13 submissions, from eight individuals and the following organisations:

  • Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora
  • Sustainable Ōtautahi Christchurch
  • Diamond Harbour Community Association
  • Purau Residents' Association
  • Governors Bay Community Association.

Three options were proposed in consultation. Option 1 was to maximise investment in stream enhancement, Option 2 was to treat the worst streams, and Option 3 was to maximise investment in treatment devices. In terms of preferred options:

  • 4 submitters were in favour of Option 1
  • 6 were in favour of Option 2
  • 1 was in favour of Option 1 or 2
  • 2 were in favour of none of the options.

The specific issues raised in submissions were unique with no overarching themes able to be drawn from them.

The Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board will decide whether or not to recommend the Stormwater Management Plan to Council.
