We received a total of 85 submissions about Lyttelton Street safety and accessibility improvements, from 80 individuals and the following organisations:

What you told us

Proposed crossing upgrade outside Te Ara Koropiko West Spreydon School (discussed by 53 submitters) -

  • 33 stated their support (60%)
  • Eight stated their opposition (15%)
  • The remaining 12 provided some arguments for and against or provided observations or requests.

Proposed bus bay outside Te Kura Kaupapa Māori O Te Whānau Tahi (discussed by 33 submitters) -

  • 23 stated their support (70%)
  • One stated their opposition (3%)
  • The remaining nine provided some arguments for and against or provided observations or requests.

Proposed addition of a cycle lane on both sides of Lyttelton Street (discussed by 71 submitters) -

  • 40 stated their support (56%)
  • 14 stated their opposition (20%)
  • The remaining 17 provided some arguments for and against or provided observations or requests.

A staff report recommending approval of Lyttelton Street safety and accessibility improvements will be presented to the Waihoro Spreydon-Cashmere-Heathcote Community Board:
