Consultation on Derwent Reserve tree planting plan has now closed. People were able to provide feedback from 16 October to 2 November.

You will be able to read their feedback and the staff recommendation once an agenda is available for the Waimāero Community Board meeting in February 2026.

Examples of trees we're planting

All trees are planted at their early stages in the winter months, varying from heights of 15cm to 150cm. We expect trees to take approximately 30 years to reach maturity.
