Meeting details and decision making process

There will be two decision meetings regarding the licences, one in each of the Community Board areas. Boards will decide on the outcome for take-off and landing sites within their board area.

A staff report recommending approval of Port Hills paragliding licences will be presented to the Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board:

Date: Monday 2 March 2026

Time: from 10am

Venue: Akaroa Community Boardroom, 78 Rue Lavaud, Akaroa

This is a public meeting, and you’re welcome to attend in person, or watch online.

If you would like to speak at the meeting, please contact the Community Board Advisor, Liz Beaven by emailing liz.beaven@ccc.govt.nz or phoning 03 941 6601.

The Community Board’s decision is recorded in the meeting minutes, available on our webpage three working days after the meeting.

We will provide more information about the Waihoro Spreydon-Cashmere-Heathcote Community Board decision meeting in the coming weeks.
