Decision made

12 September 2025

The Waihoro Spreydon-Cashmere-Heathcote Community Board decided to approve the 'Do Minimum' option - new road marking, such as red surfacing and minor warning signage changes only, on 11 September 2025.

What happens next?

We expect the new warning signage to be installed in the comings weeks and the new road marking, such as red surfacing, to be implemented after resurfacing works have been completed on the footpath area. This is likely to be in early 2026.

Staff will provide an update to the Community Board in 2026 on what the Board would need to advocate for in Annual Plan or Long Term Plan processes to obtain the funding required to investigate any longer term solutions suggested by residents.
