Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board Plan Adopted

Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board adopted its Board Plan for the 2026-28 term at its meeting on Monday 4 May 2026.

The Plan includes a message from the Board Chair, Lyn Leslie who says 'This plan belongs to our community. It is grounded in the conversations we have had with you and reflects the feedback you shared during our engagement process...' and 'We see this plan as a living document, one that will continue to evolve as projects progress, new challenges emerge, and opportunities arise. This flexibility ensures we remain responsive and focused on achieving the outcomes that matter most to our communities...'.

The Board envisages Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula as a vibrant place where environmental health and cultural, social, and economic wellbeing enable people and communities to thrive.

The priorities the Board decided on, after incorporating feedback from a large number of individuals and organisations, are:

Board members are already working hard to make progress on achieving these goals and are looking forward to welcoming a new Akaroa elected member following by-election voting in June.
