Consultation open

A community group, Te Ahu Patiki Community Garden want to start a community garden at Te Ra Community Park in Diamond Harbour in conjunction with The Friends of Te Ra Community Park . The Friends of Te Ra already have a lease (Lease of Land at 38 Waipapa Avenue for Community Park) to maintain and develop the park. A community garden requires a variation to the lease.

They are proposing to build:

  • 6-8 small raised beds
  • Small storage shed
  • Composting area.

The group have requested the removal of a large gum tree in the northern boundary of the park which shades the proposed community garden site.
