New Community Board Sworn In

The newly elected Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board was sworn in at their inaugural meeting on 17 November 2025.

Chief Executive, Mary Richardson, chaired the inaugural meeting and invited individual members to read out and sign their declaration forms.

This term the Board has two new members, Ben Spittle (Waimairi ward) and Lucy Keown (Harewood ward).

Jason Middlemiss was elected unopposed as Chairperson and Nicola McCormick elected unopposed as Deputy Chairperson.

David Cartwright, previously a Board member for the Fendalton ward, is now the Councillor for Fendalton. He replaced James Gough on the Council. James was successful as being elected as the Community Board member for Fendalton.
