Recent decisions made by the Community Board

Here are the decisions that the Community Board has made over the past few meetings. The minutes of the meetings can be found on the Council's website at Agendas and Minutes : Christchurch City Council (infocouncil.biz)

  • Approved the McLeans Grassland Park Reserve Management Plan and Concept Plan to be released for public consultation.
  • Approved the landscape plan for native forest and walkways in the eastern part of Belfast Cemetery.
  • Approved the installation of two throwing circles and temporary cage, a permanent long-jump pit, synthetic run-up of 45x1m and a 10m x 12m synthetic square to serve as a high jump run-up for the University of Canterbury Athletics Club at Fendalton Park.
  • Approved No Stopping restrictions on Clyde Road near the intersection of Greers Road.
  • Approved grants from the 2024/25 Discretionary Response Fund to The Parish of Merivale St Albans; Anglican Parish of Burnside Harewood; Avonhead Community Trust; and Christchurch North Community Patrol Inc.
  • Approved changes to existing P120 restrictions on Clyde Road.
  • Approved No Stopping restrictions on Eden Place and Evatt Street.
  • Approved funding from its 2024/25 Discretionary Response Fund to St Christopher's Anglican Church Avonhead towards the community Christmas carol event.
  • Approved No Stopping restrictions on Kahu Road.
  • Approved time restricted parking and no stopping restrictions on Sunningvale Lane and requested staff to monitor and report back to the Board on the impacts of the restrictions and to investigate additional safety improvements, particularly for school children using the area.
  • Granted an easement for fibre installation at Ryeland Reserve, Ilam.
  • Approved the revocation of reserve status and the sale of 26a Glencullen Drive, Casebrook.
