New Community Board Sworn In

Re-elected and newly elected members of the Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board for the 2025-28 electoral term have now all made their official declarations, enabling them to formally commence their role in the local decision-making that is delegated to them by the Council.

This term the Board has two new members, Ashleigh Feary (Papanui ward) and Mike Davidson (Innes ward); the latter having previously served on the former Papanui-Innes Community Board, prior to the last electoral term, and the Shirley-Papanui Community Board prior to that.

The Board elected Dr Sunita Gautam as its Chairperson, and Simon Britten as its Deputy Chairperson, for the first half of the term, with provision for those roles to switch between those two members at the midway point of the triennium.

The new Board shown above are (from left to right) as follows:
