Regular monitoring is undertaken to track vehicle movements on Cranford Street and across the impacted wider roading network.

  • At an information on 13 April 2026, the Board received a project update on the Grassmere Wastewater Storage Facility, with a focus on:
    • Traffic impacts and access arrangements (including ongoing work to enable access from Cranford Street)
    • Mitigation of construction effects on nearby residents
    • Communication planning with the local community around key milestones
  • The Board requested ongoing visibility of traffic management and community communication, and indicated interest in further information sessions as the project progresses.

Tree canopy coverage is maximised in alignment with the Ōtautahi-Christchurch Urban Forest Plan.

  • At its 13 April 2026 meeting, the Board received from a resident a public forum presentation on infrastructure impacts and truck movements in Grassmere Street, and facilitated for residents to watch a subsequent information session at the end of the meeting related to those concerns.
