And it's Mental Health Awareness Week - the perfect time to get out on your bike and feel the benefits of fresh air and movement.

Whether it’s a short spin or a scenic cruise, every ride supports your wellbeing. Here’s why it’s worth hopping on a bike this week:

  • Feel the sunshine and fresh air.
  • Move your body and boost your mood.
  • Discover new places close to home.

Plan your next ride with our online map, and let your bike take you somewhere good.

Keep an eye out for red markings on cycleways

Red markings, painted across cycle routes, mark where you should slow down and take extra care. They're often found near potential 'conflict zones' with other road users - particularly near intersections, driveways, and signalised or shared crossings.

Drivers may not always see you, so stay alert and be prepared to stop at red lights. Keep an eye out for pedestrians and other turning traffic.

These markings are there to help keep everyone safe, so use caution and ride with care.
