From a look around One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha to a behind the scenes tour at Harewood Crematorium there's plenty of events on and spaces opening their doors to the public for Open Christchurch.

NZ Music Month

It's that time of year again where we get to celebrate the best of Kiwi music with New Zealand Music Month.

Talented local Dakota Coleman is preforming her modern soul music at the Spreydon Library this Sunday from 2:30-3pm, no bookings required.

Then on Wednesday May 6, join musician Greg Malcolm at Tūranga with a fun, musical, visual and dramatic journey through songs and stories. Beautiful melodies and nursery rhymes of the past are fused with contemporary fun.

World Labyrinth Day at the Transitional Cathedral

Ever wanted to walk a medieval labyrinth? Well, now is your chance. One will be laid at the Transitional Cathedral on Friday and Saturday.

All are welcome to come and walk the labyrinth, and information will be available.
At 1pm on Saturday 2nd there will be a Guided Walk for Peace, as part of world Labyrinth Day.

As the evenings grow cooler, join us at Ferrymead Heritage Park for a cosy and vibrant Night Market this Saturday, 4-8pm..

Ferrymead Night Market will see the historic township come alive after dark, filled with the glow of lights, the sound of live music, and the irresistible aroma of delicious street food.

Wander through a unique mix of local stalls, discover handmade goods, and enjoy a relaxed evening atmosphere with friends and whānau.

Dutch Week Orange Bike Ride Christchurch

Get your family and friends together, wear your orange clothes, decorate your bike and join us on the Orange Bike Ride.

Meet at 89 Ilam Road on Saturday at 8am for a relaxed and friendly ride through Christchurch. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just out for a casual spin, this ride is all about enjoying the day and celebrating together. The meet shall finish at the Christchurch Farmers Market at the Lekker Dutch stall for a free Dutch delight, be it an oliebol, a portion of poffertjes or a world famous fresh stroopwafel.

Don’t forget to wear something orange to show your Dutch pride.
