Always admired the beautiful pipe organ in the Christchurch Town Hall but never heard it played, now is your chance!

Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Christchurch Town Hall Organ Trust and Venues Otautahi - there’s a free concert happening on Monday, Kings Birthday at 2pm.

Martin Setchell will introduce and play his programme which will have something for everyone to enjoy. It will show the organs many varied colours.

No need to pre-book just show up and pick a seat – doors will open at 1:30pm.

World Drumming Festival

Come and hear a vibrant celebration of drumming, dance and music from around the world.

Sri Lankan drummers are joining Christchurch cultural groups in this performance of drumming and culture.

From the powerful beats of Dekaworwor West African Drumming and Dzidzor – Ghana, to the rich traditions of Christchurch Zhong Hua Chinese Society, the island rhythms of Tamanu II Performing Arts – Cook Islands, the expressive Persian instruments and music of Simurgh Music, the precision of Takumi Japanese Drumming Group, and the high-energy performances of Mundi Dancers. This is where the world comes together through rhythm.
