This building is not just a Library. It's a local hub for the community to meet each other, pay rates and dog fees, have a coffee, use the 3-D printer, meet with local elected representatives and go to the market on Sunday- to name just a few of the activities that take place here. Like many buildings, it was badly damaged in the earthquakes and has been propped up ever since, wating for its turn in the queue. The Board still needs to fight to keep the funding allocated in the Long-Term Plan process but is proud to have the approval across the line.
