The main play equipment at Aranui playground has had a good run but it is time for an upgrade. We are planning to keep the see-saws, swings and carousel but replace the main playground structure.

We have four playground options to choose between and want to know which one you like the most.

Earlier this year, we heard from families who attend the community preschool neighboring the reserve. They shared lots of ideas for what they’d like to see. We’re not able to include everything, but we’ve used their feedback to develop a plan for the new spaces.

We have a budget of $130,000 to complete the renewal.

As part of the renewal, we are also planning to:

• Resurface the basketball court
• Install two picnic benches near the playground
• Rebuild the edge of the playground and include some seating along the edge
• Plant some trees near the playground to increase the amount of shade
