Potential extension of restrictions

From June to August 2025, we trialled overnight (10pm-7am) parking restrictions for 20 angle parks on Broadpark Road. Based on community feedback, these overnight restrictions were made permanent in August. Find out more about the feedback we received here.

At their decision meeting in August 2025, the Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board asked us to consult on extending the parking restrictions for angle carparks along Broadpark Road down to Larnach Street. Find out more about the decision meeting here.

We want to know whether you think the overnight parking restrictions should be extended, as outlined in the image below.

Consultation June 2025

See below for the information provided to people ahead of them making a submission on overnight parking restrictions for twenty of the angle parks.

We have heard that some residents are concerned about noise associated with vehicles parking on Broadpark Road overnight which is negatively impacting their quality of life.

In response, we have implemented temporary overnight parking restrictions (10pm-7am) for twenty of the angle parks along Broadpark Road. These temporary restrictions are being implemented under the Council’s Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2017.

We want your feedback on the temporary restrictions so we can decide whether or not to make them permanent.
