Thanks to the community, we’ve created a concept plan designed to give everyone in Bromley a space to relax, connect, and have fun. Six organisations and businesses, and 19 residents engaged with us during the early feedback round. We heard that the Bromley community no longer feel like their skate ramp is up to scratch - that it's too old, too advanced, and in the wrong location.
When asked about the location of the current skate ramp, people said it should be moved. The majority suggested next to the Bromley Community Centre.
When asked about the skill level of the current ramp, the majority said that it was too advanced and that they’d like something for beginner-level skaters. The new skate facility should cater to all ages. However, some skaters said that the ramp is a unique offering and that something similarly unique should be installed if the ramp needs to be removed.
We also heard that there was interest in sealing the community pump track next to the Bromley Community Centre.

Cypress Garden Skate Ramp renewal concept plan
What we're planning
- A new skate ramp with a variety of heights for different skill levels; the new ramp will be relocated closer to the Bromley Community Centre,
- Resurfacing the existing pump track so it can be used all year with a range of equipment (bikes, scooters, skateboards),
- New pathways making the journey to and from Cypress Gardens Reserve and Bromley Old School Reserve easier,
- Nature play (logs and stumps for hopping and jumping) in the old skate ramp site and a picnic table,
- New bike stands next to the Bromley Community Centre, making it easier to bike to the park.
