Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback on this project

We received a total of 20 submissions, from 17 individuals and the following organisations:

  • Bromley Community Centre
  • Outsiders Skate shop
  • NAC BMX Club

What you told us

Four submitters, including Bromley Community Centre, said they supported the plan. 10 submitters, including Outsiders Skate and NAC BMX Club, somewhat supported the plan. Five submitters did not support the plan and one submitter didn’t know.

Three submitters made general positive comments about the plans.

Requests were made for the skate ramp:

  • New ramp needs to cater to a wide range of abilities (9)
  • If replaced, the new ramp should be a similar size to the current one (8)
  • New ramp needs to consider skater progression (5)
  • Resurface the ramp instead of replacing it (4)

A number of submitters raised concerns about the potential loss of the current skate ramp.

The skate ramp is proposed to be renewed to cater to range of abilities (from beginner to intermediate). This will mean the ramp will have a smooth transition between two sections with distinct heights. While the exact heights of the ramp sections will be determined during detailed design, we anticipate them to range from two to six feet.

You can read more about what we heard in the meeting agenda below, which includes the staff report. To read all the feedback we received, look at the submission table below.
