Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback on this project

We received a total of 85 submissions about the Kyle Park BMX lease, from three organisations and 82 individuals.

What you told us

  • Overall, 82 (96%) of submitters supported the proposal, 1 (1%) somewhat supported, 2 (2%) did not support.
  • All respondents who were club members (32) or neighbours to the park or lived nearby (11) supported the proposal. Those who did not support, or somewhat supported, were other users of Kyle Park.

Submitters who supported the proposal felt:

  • The BMX track was well used and/or is an asset to the community (33)
  • The track is currently well maintained by the club (13)
  • The improvements will allow the Club to host national and international events (11)
  • The BMX club fosters connection and soft skills building in young people who take part.

The main concerns by submitters who did not support, or somewhat supported, were with negative interactions had by other park users.
