Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback on this project

We received a total of 94 submissions about North Beach Surf Lifesaving Club: rebuild and lease proposal, from 92 individuals and the following organisations:

  • Spokes Canterbury
  • North Beach Coffee Shed

What you told us

While the online form did not specifically ask for support or opposition to the proposal, only one person expressed opposition to the entire proposal, citing concerns about the functionality of the tower and main building.

Other submitters shared supportive comments about the proposed rebuild, highlighting the following reasons:

  • The club needs more space to accommodate its growing membership.
  • New facilities will help the club continue delivering valuable services to the community, including youth development programmes
  • The club needs more space to keep up with its membership expansion.

Key issues and our comments
