Hearings Panel agenda available

6 March 2025

Thanks to everyone who submitted feedback on the Parks and Reserves Bylaw review

We received 16 submissions, which included 11 from organisations (including six Community Boards) and five from individuals.

What you told us

Submitters generally supported the proposed changes, with some offering minor suggestions in a few areas (such as improving clarity on specific clauses or definitions). No dominant theme or demand for major change emerged from the submissions.

A report which summarises the submissions and details staff recommendations to address the feedback can be found in the meeting agenda. You can find the report and the submissions received in the links below.

Next steps

A Hearings Panel has been formed to read the staff report, consider all feedback and hear from six submitters who wish to speak to them about their submission. The Hearings Panel will then make a recommendation to the full Council about whether or not to proceed with the staff recommendation.
