We decided to proceed with the sale of part of 177 Armagh Street, on 10 November 2025.

We received a total of 12 submissions about the proposed sale of part of 177 Armagh Street. No submissions were received from organisations or businesses.

Overall, the majority of comments were in support of proceeding with the sale (8 of 12).

No submissions opposed the sale of the land strip.

Three alternative suggestions were received, including the suggestion to:

• Utilise the space for angled parking (2)
• Utilise the strip for green space (1)
• Enhance the pedestrian strip (1)

The project team considered using the space for angled parking was a feasible alternative, however the costs involved would be significant and the additional amenity gained would be minimal.

What happens next?

Our Property team will proceed to subdivide and sell the strip of land to Fletcher Residential Limited by early next year.
