We received a total of 65 submissions about the City to Sea pathway project from 55 individuals, 2 businesses and the following organisations:

What you told us

Common topics raised during early conversations and consultation were:

  • Safety for pathway users was a key theme, especially for vulnerable users. This was particularly of interest to Hohepa Canterbury and Educational Childcare Centre who were interested in safely crossing the roads with larger groups.
  • Measures to slow traffic on the approaches to the crossing were supported, particularly on Swanns Road and Gayhurst Road.
