Consultation on the Birkdale Reserve tree planting plan has now closed. People were able to provide feedback from 12 March - 9 April 2024.

You will be able to read their feedback and the staff recommendation once an agenda is available for the Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board meeting, which we expect to be in May/June 2024.

All tree plans indicate trees at full maturity. The time scale for trees to reach maturity varies depending on species, but is expected to take 20-30 years.
