2024-25 Strengthening Communities Fund

The 2024-25 Fund supports community-focused organisations whose projects contribute to the strengthening of community wellbeing. Successful groups will need to demonstrate they are sustainable, strategic, community focused and have a significant presence within their communities of benefit.

Applications will be assessed against the Te Haumako; Te Whitingia Strengthening Communities Together Strategy Pillar objectives. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the strategy to help consider how your application can contribute to these objectives.

Key Dates

Applications will open on Monday 4th March for projects that run from the 1st September 2024 until 31st August 2025.

Applications will close at midnight on Friday 12th April 2024.

Funding decisions will be made in August 2024.

Community Drop-in sessions

Our Community Governance Team will be hosting three community drop-in session across the Community Ward area. These are a great opportunity to meet with staff face to face and ask any questions or highlight any issues that you might be having with your application. Drop ins will be held at the following times and locations:

Linwood Library (Eastgate) – 7th March 4pm-6pm

Aranui Library – 13th March 4pm-6pm

New Brighton Library – 14th March 4pm-6pm
