We’ve made a decision on St Peter's school crossing upgrade

The Waihoro Spreydon Cashmere Heathcote Community Board decided to approve the plans, on 12 September 2024.

The Community Board made the following changes to the proposed plans:

  • That the west approach of Hargest Crescent, at its intersection with Waltham Road be controlled by a Stop Control (a give way was proposed).

They also asked that staff consider the safety improvements outlined in the deputation by Danny Rood in future transport programmes and to provide advice to the Community Board.

You can read the formal resolutions in the meeting minutes.

You can also refer to the meeting agenda for all of the background information.

What happens next?

We expect construction to begin in late 2024.
