Examples of trees we're planting

All trees are planted at their early stages in the winter months, varying from heights of 15cm to 150cm. We expect trees to take approximately 30 years to reach maturity.

Halifax Reserve play space renewal

We asked the community for ideas on renewing Halifax Reserve play space in 2024. We’ve taken your suggestions and turned them into a fun-filled concept plan that’s designed for locals and visitors to enjoy.

The concept plan below shows the new proposed aspects, including:

  • A mighty play fort with a speedy double slide
  • Circular platforms to hop, skip and balance across
  • A tree hut for imagination and exploring
  • A big basket swing for soaring
  • Low ropes and posts for climbing, wobbling and adventure
  • Lots of natural materials for creative nature play

We’re also adding a ramp to help make the play space more accessible for everyone

You can view the full concept plan for the play space here.
