This free event is a vibrant celebration of Filipino heritage, showcasing the rich culture, traditions, and community spirit of the Filipino diaspora in Christchurch.

• Multicultural Vendors - Alongside authentic Filipino dishes like lechon, BBQ and desserts from local Filipino vendors, stalls from diverse cultural backgrounds will offer a global culinary journey.
• Music, Dance & Entertainment: Attendees can enjoy live performances featuring traditional folk dances, modern Filipino pop music, and cultural presentations.
• ICONS in MOTIONS Impersonation Contest.

Upper Riccarton Memorial Park, 372 Riccarton Road

Come along and experience a cultural showcase from Canterbury Fiji Social Services Trust, brought to life through art, music, and dance!

Located in the heart of the diverse Church Corner area, the Upper Riccarton Memorial Park, is designed to bring people together, and provides a welcoming spot for cultural performances, art exhibitions, language showcases and more!

In August 2025, the park opened on the former site of the Upper Riccarton War Memorial Library. Built in 1919, the original library honoured local residents who served in World War I and later became a place of remembrance for those who served in World War II and subsequent conflicts.

Today, the site has been transformed into a vibrant and welcoming community space. The park features a striking mural by local artist Dcypher, incorporating bookshelves, war memorabilia, and nostalgic New Zealand imagery that honours the site’s history. The space also includes seating, a picnic table, walkways, and plantings.

Come along and walk in memory or support of a loved one with dementia & help raise funds to support Dementia Canterbury’s work in the community.

• Discounted entry fee if you pre-register as an individual or as a team - available until midday on Saturday 7 March. (General admission on the day $35)

• Prize for the best dressed team and spot prizes will be given out during the morning.

• Walk as little or as much as you want during the time.

• Wheelchair, walking frames and stroller friendly (no scooters, bikes or dogs sorry)

• Ngā Puna Wai Athletics Track is located on Augustine Drive, off Halswell Road, with free parking.

• Please be prepared for all weather, wet or fine, the walk will go ahead.
