About the Community Board

The Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board hold regular meetings that you’re welcome to attend. Anyone can ask to speak to the board about a local issue, activity or project.

The Community Board's main roles are to:

  • Represent and act as an advocate for the interests of our community.
  • Consider and report on all matters referred to us by the council, or any matter of interest to the board.
  • Maintain an overview of services provided by the council within the community.
  • Communicate with community organisations and special interest groups within the community.

Dutch Week Orange Bike Ride

Meet at Ilam Fields, University Drive

Get your family and friends together, wear your orange clothes, decorate your bike! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just out for a casual spin, this ride is all about enjoying the day and celebrating together.

The meet will finish at the Christchurch Farmers Market at the Lekker Dutch stall for a free Dutch delight, be it an oliebol, a portion of poffertjes or a world famous fresh stroopwafel. Don’t forget to wear something orange to show your Dutch pride. Learn more.
