Stoddart Point and the Coastal Cliffs Reserve network are prominent features of Diamond Harbour and its surroundings.

The Coastal Cliff stretches from Purau Bay through to Church Bay and around Black Point to Hays Bay. The Coastal Cliff Walkway links the community and provides a recreational asset for the people of Diamond Harbour/Te Waipapa.

Garden of Tāne, at the southern end of Akaroa, is a place of peace and shade, birdsong and mystery. Wander through beautiful forest on a maze of well-formed tracks to discover a carving of Tāne, huge trees, two playgrounds, harbour lookouts and historic cemeteries.
